What is United Nation? I think most of you had read it before in your secondary school history textbook. UN (United Nation) is an intergovernmental organization tasked to promote international cooperation and to create and maintain international order. Besides that, we also know that UN was established on 24 October 1945 after World War II with the aim of preventing another such conflict. Now let us know more about the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals that launched by the United Nation. Negotiations on the Post-2015 Development Agenda began in January 2015 and ended in August 2015. A final document was adopted at the UN Sustainable Development Summit in September 2015 in New York City, USA. The formal name for the SDGs is: “Transforming our World: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” and that has been shortened to “2030 Agenda.” SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) have 17 goals and there are 169 targets for these 17 SDGs.
